About our Nursing College

Introduction.

Sindh Modern College of Nursing & Health Sciences (SMCNHS) is a part of The Modern group and Hospital. The Modern group is a diversified multicity private healthcare services group, started in Karachi in 2009, with divisions later in Hyderabad, and Southern Sindh.

Sindh Modern College of Nursing & Health Sciences was established in year 2022 with the focus of EXCELLENCE-INNOVATION and DIVERSITY in nursing education. The facility is located in the heart of Karachi, university road, Gulshan e Iqbal, Block-7, opposite to Safari Park. The college has its own building along with the affiliated 100 bedded hospital. Moreover, the exceptional resources are designed to assist students for contemporary and long-term learning. The teaching faculty of the college belong to different disciplines to provide collaborative learning to prospective nurses and allied health professionals. The improvement plan of the college is to foster excellency in evidence-based learning, assisting students to disseminate their academic writings and escalating the college in to university.

Facilities


Science lab

The science lab is a special facility where experiments are done to promote applied sciences into Nursing education. Contains equipment, beakers, burners, and other tools necessary to facilitate scientific phenomenon.

Skill lab

A very well-equipped lab with all facilities for training Nursing students to enhance their skills in the Sindh Modern College of Nursing & Health Sciences. It is used for education, acquisition of skills, assessments, research, and health system integration to ensure patient safety.

Digital library

Digital libraries contain digital objects such as Nursing databases and e-books as digital data. Digital data is a new area for digital library researchers and practitioners to explore. Digital libraries are mainly stocked with sources of information that are available on the Internet in open access format, and they are remarkable for the ease of access to collections, for the student nurses.

Furnished Classrooms

Well furnished, spacious classrooms equipped with the latest teaching aids, such as multimedia with internet facilities. All classrooms are well-furnished, properly ventilated, air-conditioned, and with modern comfortable seating arrangements.

Auditorium

It is the part of the Modern Institute of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences where nursing students enable to hear and watch professional programs regarding the professional development of nurses and the nursing profession. Various educational programs and activities were performed in the auditorium of the Modern Institute of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences, Karachi .

Cafetaria

There is a Cafeteria available for students where a number of different food options available on campus. The dedicated space for the cafeteria comprises state-of-the-art facilities with a wide range of food choices. In addition to the café, there is a dedicated hut providing fresh seasonal juices. The management ensures that the prices are controlled to ensure affordability and we strive to maintain the highest hygiene standards as well. .

Masjid

All religious activities take place in the college masjid. Students are motivated to offer their prayers five times a day. .
